Hello, I am Ashley

The photographer behind Twinkle Twinkle Purple Star Photography

When it comes to photography, I’m drawn to connection over perfection. I photograph the way I do because real moments matter more to me than stiff poses or forced smiles. I guide gently, keep things relaxed, and leave space for people to interact naturally, because the most meaningful images almost always happen in between the posed ones.

My Life beyond the camera

Outside of photography, my life is full and a little chaotic in the best way. I’m a mom to four boys, which means I live in a world of noise, movement, humor, and big emotions. During the week, I work in a school with special needs children, a role that’s taught me patience, flexibility, and how important it is to meet people exactly where they are.

When I’m not working or photographing, you’ll usually find me cooking or baking for my family, planning meals, organizing life a little too much, or enjoying quiet creative moments when I can steal them. I love the rhythm of everyday life and that’s what I aim to capture in my work.

Those parts of my life shape how I show up behind the camera. I understand energy, sensory needs, short attention spans, and the fact that not everyone feels comfortable being photographed and that’s okay. You don’t need to be “good at photos.” You just need to show up as yourself.
